Quinoa 101

It has been quite a while since I quit eating white rice.Quinoa curbs my rice cravings because of the texture/taste .It is a healthy substitute because it's protein packed  (contains all the essential amino acids) and way less amount of carbs.Qualifies for a perfect dinner option!

Review: Goodness everyday cream cleanser & every morning moisturizer

My skin type is combination-dry, getting towards more dry with age.It was time i switch to a cream cleanser and stop using the oil free/gel versions as we enter the autumn season. Also i've been looking for all natural ingredients containing product. So basically this goodness was exactly what I needed. My skin has not been behaving too good lately(dry/dull) so since last six months i'm on a no makeup buy and wear zone(temporarily, makeup love can never die) because i want to give my skin a break from harsh chemicals and let it renew and refresh (let the new cells grow and old epidermis eventually shed off) and now i'm getting interested in all natural/organic stuff (both foods and products). The big idea is instead of covering imperfections with makeup why not eat healthy, keep hydrated and use organic elements because nothing beats a naturally healthy looking skin!   About the everyday cream cleanser  Ingredients :aloe vera, apple extract,blackber...

Quick & Easy Homemade Granola

Granola is surely a winner because its so quick and easy to make and can be eaten as a breakfast with some milk and fruit on the side or as a snack in form of a bar or energy bite or as a crunch in yogurt parfaits. Its so handy to have it stored! Here im sharing my quick recipe.I prefer making it at home and don't use the market bought ones because if you look at the nutrition label at the back of packets there's a lot of sugar content( it should be less than 10g per 100g, if you're watching weight and aim to avoid unnecessary sugars ) which can be avoided if made at home. Step 1 Pan roast half cup oats in half tsp coconut oil. Step 2 Add nuts and seeds of your choice.I've added almonds, walnuts, chopped dates, raisins,,chia seeds, flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds. Step 3 Mix everything together and store in air tight jar. Breakfast bowl Yogurt bowl

What have i been reading lately!

Last weekend me and my boy had a library trip and picked up this bunch of books for him, making a point to bond over bedtime stories, planning to bring another batch because he has finished these ones already :D I picked few for myself too but read just one #girlboss and enjoyed it to bits ! Also i've been reading one awesome blog that i must mention.  click here  to find it.its about the experience and game plan of a very intelligent couple who are home schooling their kids.It made me think in so many directions, very inspiring and impressive work. And as ramadan was just around the corner, i was working on planning for the meals/eating strategy,my friend(who is also a professional nutrition adviser) shared a ramadan eating guidelines book by amanah fitness  click here  to get it.it covers each and every aspect from recipes to daily meal plans/portion size/workouts.one useful read indeed.
